My name is Hope and I starting having symptoms of Crohn's disease at the age of 4.  It started out with me not being able to have a bowel movement which caused other things to go wrong in my body and cause me severe pain.  I have hospitalized many times and I missed plenty of school days.  For several years there wasn't a minute of the day that I wasn't in extreme pain, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.  My mother and my sister would hold me all the time and try to comfort me and we would pray.  My mother has not been work because she has to stay home and take care of me and my sister.  I wish that I could do all the things that other kids do.  I just want to be normal.
